Austria: victory for Klagenfurt, Amstetten, Waldviertel and Wien in the first Round of new season!

In the opener of new season, VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt defeats in straight sets newcomers Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam, partially 25:23, 25:20 and 25:22. The top scorers at Sportpark Klagenfurt were Arwin Kopschar (16) and David Petschnig (13) for the winners, while Leander Örley (15) and Finn Örley were the most prolific player on the other side. The hosts had a better attack rate with 47% vs. 43%, but also scored more block points (7 vs 2) and made significantly fewer errors (16 vs 28), while Innsbruck side made 8 aces, against 2 of Klagenfurt.

In the tie break of the day, VCA Amstetten NÖ mocks UVC Weberzeile Ried, who missed a victory after winning the first two sets. 2:3 is the final result, partially it was 25:21, 25:22, 16:25, 27:29 and 16:18, in a thrilling match lasted 140 minutes.
The guests had more efficiency in the attack (50% vs 42%, points 63 vs 54), and scored two more block points (16 vs 14), while Ried made three fewer errors (31 vs. 34) and made 7 aces, against 5 of the rivals. Patryk Napiorkowski stood out the winners with 29 points, while Ried’s captain Tomek Rutecki made 28.

SG TJ Sokol V Post SV Wien defeats TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg by 3-1, partially 25:18, 31:33, 25:21, 25:15 while close the picture Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel who defeats on the road VBC TLC Weiz with a clear 0:3 (16:25, 23:25, 21:25).
