1 min read

Opposite of the Brazilian national team and member of the French powerhouse Tours Volley Ball, Aboubacar Dramé Neto “Abouba” suffered an Achilles tendon rupture injury in the pre-season tournament, during the match against Montpellier HSC, last friday.

He will undergo surgery in the next few days, the recovery is expected in about eight months and thus for him the season is over even before to begin.
This was his first season in France after two previous ones spent in Italy, with the jersey of Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia.

After winning the South American Championship, Abouba was one of the leading players of the current champions of France during the pre-season games, and he was expected to be one of the team leaders in all the challenges of the upcoming season.

But Tours at the moment also has the 2 starting outside-hitters out of the game: the Moroccan Zouheir El-Grauoi is the victim of a small fracture in the metatarsus, while the Olympic champion Kevin Tillie has remedied a contracture in his thigh.
