Italy: Taranto and Perugia win advances of Round 6

Two advances of Italian SuperLega CredemBanca Round 6 were played today. In first, straight sets (25:22, 25:21, 25:20) home win for newcomers Gioiella Prisma Taranto over a Kioene Padova who, despite a better start, suffered lot of up and downs. For the winners, these are three very important points for their Superlega lives.

On the other match, Sir Safety Conad Perugia defeats at home Allianz Milano with the same result (25:20, 25:19, 25:12). For Perugia this was fifth victory in a row, after a match played at very high level especially in first two sets, but with the hosts most decisive from the service line and in counterattack, above all with Leon and Rychlicki contrattacchi. In third set Perugia was amazing in service, scoring 6 aces (11 in total), including the last from Leon (top scorer of the match with 21 points).
Also numbers confirmed the final result of the match, with the winners better in serving (11 aces vs. 3), in reception (50% vs. 34%), in attack (57% vs. 39%) and in blocking (8 vs. 4).
Good also Rychlicki (13 points with 60% in attack), but MVP was Oleh Plotnytskyi, who entered the field in second set in place of Anderson, and played a perfect game with 5 aces, 2/2 in attacck and a winning block.
