2 min read

Three matches of Polish Plusliga Round 10 were played yesterday, on Sunday.
In first game, Asseco Resovia Rzeszow was resoundigly defeated at home in straight sets by Trefl Gdansk in a match in which they were always in disadvantage. Coach Winiarski’s side absolutely won the duel in attack (64% and 56% efficiency, vs. 48% and 31% efficiency), thanks above all to outside-hitters Mika (top scorer and MVP with 75% in attack, 0 errors, 0 blocked, 2 winning blocks e 1 ace) and Lipinski (57% in attack, 43% efficiency), who won confrontation against same role Cebulj (36% and 32% efficiency in attack) and Deroo (37% and only 5% efficiency in attack). Coach Giuliani’s team, who played without back up outside-hitters Szesrszen and Buszek, tried a reaction putting Woicki and Tammemaa to the field, started with title’s ambition, is now at eight place in the charts, also behind newcomers LUK Lublin, who defeated 3-1 Czarni Radom in second match played on Sunday. Jan Nowakowski, named MVP of the match, made 9 winning blocks!
Still winless, on the other hand, Stal Nysa who, in the evening match, suffered another defeat, this time 1-3, a direct clash against Cuprum Lubin, led by a great Ferens (25 points, 56% in attack and 47% efficiency, 4 blocks, 2 aces and, of course, MVP award).
