Poland: Warszawa survive to Katowice. 3 points for Resovia and Gdańsk

Three matches of Plusliga Round 11 were played on Sunday. Waiting for big match between Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and PGE Skra Belchatów on Monday, Projekt Warszawa defeated GKS Katowice in the tie-break, but the favored from polish capital had major problems. Andrea Anastasi’s team was trailing 1-2 in sets, but managed to turn the tide of the game around and celebrate the win after the tie-break.
Michał Superlak, on the field in place of Petkovic and MVP of the match, highlighted Warszawa with 27 points (57% in attack and 45% efficiency) while Piotr Nowakowski made as many as eight of the team’s 21 blocks! Decisive also Jan Fornal (3/5 in attack and 3 blocks), who entered the court in place of Grobelny.
This is fourth consecutive victory in PlusLiga for Warszawa, who sits now in third place in the standings.

Sweeping Ślepsk Malow Suwałki, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów broke their three-game losing streak and moved up from the ninth to the sixth position in the standings.
Decisive Cebulj (MVP of the match with 16 points, 50% in attack and 42% efficiency, 2 blocks and 2
aces) and Muzaj (14 points, 63% in attack, 53% efficiency).
In the evening 4 victories winning streak of newcomers LUK Lublin came into a end, as they suffered a clear 3-0 from Trefl Gdansk who taking advantage from good evening of experts Wlazly and Mika.
