France: two new players for Cannes

1 min read

After greeting the German outside-hitter Christian Fromm and Italian opposite Gabriele Nelli, who will both wear the Superlega’s side Vibo Valentia jersey, the defending champions Cannes, currently last in the standings, are back on the market.
After the middle-blocker of the Portuguese national team Filip Cveticanin, who already made his debut in the last matches, the two new faces are Colombian opposite Ronald Jimenez, who left South Korean championship (Hyundai Capital Skywalkers) and he is already well known in the French championship, in which he wore the Tourcoing jersey from 2015/16 to 2019/20 seasons, and the young Serbian setter Alksa Batak, who started the season in his home country for Mladi Radnik Pozarevac and last year in Italy, with Consar Ravenna’s jersey.

Interestingly for Ronald Jiménez, Best Outside Spiker of the 2015 South American Championship, Cannes will be the third team this season: he moved from Poland’s Cuprum Lubin to Korea’s Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers, who in recent days have crossed him off due to injury and replaced him with Felipe Banderò.
