France: Narbonne new leaders! Finally a win for Cannes. Three points for Chaumont, Montpellier and Paris

The whole Round 16 of French Ligue A was played yesterday, on Saturday, with the exception of a single postponed match.
However, this was the third consecutive postponement for Tours (2 for having had positive in their roster, and this due positive in the opposing team) and thus they “slips” temporarily to third place in the current standings, behind the new leaders Narbonne (0-3 on the road over a disappointing Nantes, without Bartos) and Sète (suffered 3-1 with a comeback from -3 in the third set against Toulouse, which regains in the sextet the starting diagonal Thiaguinho – Daniel Cagliari).
It seems to have left the bad moment behind Chaumont: very inspired in serving with 13 aces and 16 errors, they defeated 3-1 Tourcoing dominating 1st and 4th set. For the guests, only the regret having their decisive attack blocked on 24-26 in the 2nd set.
Three points also for the other favorite Montpellier. In the 3-0 home victory over Nice, the top scorer is the recovered Faure while it is not a good evening for Lynell, who is replaced in the 1st set by an excellent Lazo, later named MVP.

After 11 consecutive defeats, finally a victory for defending champions Cannes: despite the absence of Klyamar (injured in the previous match in Cambrai and replaced by Annicette, and by a great Gelinski in the role of captain) and again without the new opposite Jimenez, Matijasevic’s side (who guesses the move of despair when, behind 1-2, in the last 2 sets, fielded as opposite the middle-blocker Koncilja instead of a never decisive Wendt) manage to
defeat Poitiers 3-2.
Close the picture the 0-3 between Plessis Robinson and Paris in the île-de- France derby.
