1 min read

The Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) announced the names of experts that will lead the country’s men’s and women’s volleyball national teams and replace Vital Heynen and Jacek Nawrocki, who left their posts after the end of last national team season: Nikola Grbić (men’s team) and Stefano Lavarini (women’s team).

Nikola Grbić, once renowned setter and the Olympic champion in Sydney 2000, achieved his greatest coaching success in May 2021, winning the CEV Champions League with Polish side Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. After the triumph, the Serb, who was at the helm of his country’s national team between 2015 and 2019, left for Sir Safety Conad Perugia, which aim to win the Italian SuperLega.
