Brazil: Renata ko again. Goias and Funvic win advances of Round 19. 28 points for Elian!

Two advances of Superliga Round 19 has been played on the European night.
Goias, in what was their last home match of 2021/22 season, inflicted a resounding 3-0 to Renata Campinas, who keep the little chances to avoid relegation with a good 64% in attack and 9 winning blocks. However, Pacheco’s team played still without starters Lucas, Evandro and Temponi. MVP expert middle-blocker Vini, who announced his retirement at the end of current season.
On the other match Funvic (who recovered Elian, MVP of the match with 28 points, 51% in attack, 42% efficiency) needed 3 hours and 8 minutes of play to defeat 17-15 at tie break (after having cancelled a match point on 13-14) Guarulhos (who recovered Franco, 26 points, 48% and 28% efficiency in attack).
Over the final result, two heavy errors of referees who, at tie-break, don’t whistle two attack invasions by Elian, giving the hosts the points of 8-6 and 12-11, respectively. Either way it wasn’t a good day for Guarulhos, who managed to recover a 2 sets deficit and to make a comeback from 13-11 to 13-14
in decisive fifth set, before the two decisive breaks: and error in attack from Deivid (15-14) and a block by Gasman over Franco (17-15).
