Both Serbian Cups to Beograd: Partizan and Crvena Zvezda

Both Beograd teams, men and women, that won the 2021/22 Kup Srbije, Serbian Volleyball Cup, did so after many years since their last successes in the competition.

Partizan-Soccerbet took the Men edition by beating Mladi Radnik in front of nearly 3,000 spectators in Lajkovac, with a score of 3-1, absolutely dominating in blocking, with 20 points from this element.
Thus, Partizan won the 8th title in the competition, the first after 32 years.
Canadian Nathan Delguidice top-scored the winning side with 19 points, while Lazar Marinović set up 5 blocks and expert middle blocker Novica Bjelica was named MVP.

In the women’s finals, also played in Lajkovac, Crvena Zvezda prevailed over the hosts Železničar in 4 sets and won their trophy no.18 in the competition, but the first after 8 years. Jelena Lazić was the most prolific player in Crvena zvezda with 15 points, while Bosnian Dajana Bošković served 4 aces.
The Crvena zvezda setter Bojana Drča was awarded MVP.
