France: Tours and Montpellier first semifinalists. Chaumont and Narbonne to game 4!

All Game 3 of Ligue A playoffs quarterfinal were played today.
The first to earn ticket for semifinals is Montpellier who celebrated an easy straight sets win on the field of a very disappointing Paris (20:25, 16:25, 22:25). Among the hosts, positive only Kujundzic with 13 points, 1 block and 57% in attack while, about the winners, great performance for opposite Faure: 19 points, 68% and 60% efficiency in attack and 2 aces, despite MVP award was delivered to setter Javier Gonzalez.
Semifinal also for absolute regular season leaders Tours who, however, like in Game 1, needed 5 sets (24:26, 22:25, 25:29, 25:23, 13:15) to defeat a very combative Nice who, despite a 0-2, tried a comeback to surrender only at the 13-15 of tie break (with a start of 1-5 and even 6-12). MVP award to libero Perry, while middle-blocker Aracaju boasted a 100% in attack (9/9) but the team around coach Fronckowiak did not convince, as they also took advantage from 49 error of the hosts.

To Game 4 the series between Sète (without Geiler, but well replaced by Picard, named MVP of the match despite only 7 points and 36% in attack) and Narbonne (still without Bassereau).
The hosts celebrated a 3-1 (25:21, 17:25, 26:24, 25:19) win mostly thanks to Gauna and Karlitzek, who reversed the final of third set from 23-24 to 26-24.
Also Tourcoing earned the Game 4,
after defeating Chaumont at tie break (19:25, 25:20, 21:25, 30:28, 15:7). In a very balanced match, the hosts were able to recover from 14-17 and then cancelled two match points (23-24 and 27-28) in fourth set, before dominating the tie break.
