2 min read

Game 2 of AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi were played today.

Decisive Game 3 will be necessary between Halkbank Ankara and Arkas
Izmir. Despite the absence of starting opposite Fernando Hernandez (on the bench, replaced by a great Božidar Vucicevic), regular season winners managed to remedy to Game 1 defeat by winning 2-3 (22:25, 25:23, 25:23, 19:25, 13:15) on the field of Arkas Izmir. Decisive the performance of Serbian opposite, author of 25 points, 61% and
50% efficiency in attack, 3 aces and the series from the service line that made the difference in fourth set and break point of 12-14, decisive in fifth set, and the entrance of Bayram (from 7-4 of third set), author of 14 points, 57% and 43% efficiency in attack, in place of a not incisive Gulmezoglu
(25% and only -5% di efficiency in attack). For Arkas, 29 points of Mirza Lagumdzija with 56% and 48% efficiency in attack and 1 block) were not enough, despite a bad error in fifth set, with a wrong bagher that was worth the 11-12.

In second semifinal, Ziraat Bankkart will be fighting for the title for the second year in a row.
No.3 created a little upset by eliminating the regular-season runners-up Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta. The Istanbul side was a favorite in the face-off but was swept in both games of the series as well in the series itself. Faik Samet Güneş led Ziraat today with 13 points, including 8 blocks, while Berkay Bayraktar made 70% reception (10 digs, 50% perfect).
Either way, a performance dominated in all elements: 63% in attack and 49% efficiency, 12 blocks vs. 4, and 7 aces vs. 3.
