Spain: Almería closes final series against Melilla to win their 12th title

Unicaja Costa de Almería regained the Spanish volleyball title after 6 years.
They won their 12th title by closing the final series of the 2021/22 Superliga Masculina against Melilla Sport Capital on their home court. The Andalusians, 2nd-seed in regular season, prevailed over the top-seed in four sets of Game 3 in which Manuel Berenguel’s team came back from the set down to put an end to the finals with 3-0 in victories.
Argentine Pablo Kukartsev was named MVP of the finals, scoring 25 points, while Jorge Fernández also contributed with 5 aces.
Almería celebrated also the fact that it was 25 years since they claimed their first league title!
