The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) will have to find a new head coach of its men’s national team.
In fact, Nikolay Jeliazkov has announced that he’ll resign.
He revealed so upon his delegation’s return from Poland where they competed in the 2022 FIVB World Championship and in which Bulgaria lost all three matches in Pool C: 0-3 against Poland and the United States, and even 2-3 against Mexico, which was an especially painful defeat given the reputation of the rival. Thus, they remained in 20th place in the ranking, and It’s the worst performance of the national team in the history of the competition!
The management board of the BVF will review Jeliazkov’s resignation and decide whether to accept it or not. The Bulgarian expert himself added that he hasn’t yet thought about what he’ll do if his resignation isn’t accepted…..
