Champions League: mission accomplished for Aich/Dob, Apeldoorn and Amriswil

First Early Rounds of 2022 CEV Champions League has been completed today. Prediction respected for all winners of first leg, played last week.
Yesterday, Austria’s SK Zadruga AICH/DOB struggled a lot in first two sets after a clear straight sets win exactly a week ago to defeat at home Budva from Montenegro. 3-1 is the final result, partially 37:35, 25:27, 25:21 and 25:18.
The match had a marathon first set that lasted for 38 minutes, but all in all, looking at both encounters, Zadruga didn’t have problems progressing further.
The Greek Anastasios-Stamatios Aspiotis scored 27 points on the winning side, while Hungarian, Alpár Szabó, made 5 blocks. Libero Manuel Steiner had 79% reception (14 digs, 71% excellent). The Austrians will have to deal with the Finnish champions Ford Levoranta Sastamala in the next round.
The great upset was the one of North Macedonia’s OK STRUMICA Nikob, who defeat super favorite Dynamo Apeldoorn at home in four sets (22:25, 27:25, 25:23, 25:21), to eventually surrender at a Golden Set 13:15. Thus, to reach competition’s next stage are the Dutchmen. Martijn Brilhuis put down 20 points on the winning side, while Duco Krook served 4 aces.
Close the picture another clear victory of Switzerland’s Lindaren Volley Amriswil, who needed only 58 minutes to defeat Mladost Brčko (25:12, 25:9, 25:13). Mischa Von Burg top-scored the winners with 15 points, including 5 blocks.
Interestingly, the top scorer on the other side had only 5 points, while Mladost as a team scored as little as 13 points from the attack in total: 0 aces and 0 blocks!
