Turkey: Halkbank get a clear win over Arkas in big match of Round 5 to remain sole undefeated team

Only one team boasts a perfect record in the 2022/23 Turkish Volleyball Championship following the advance of Round 5, played today.
In a duel of the only two sides with perfect records in the this edition of AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi after four rounds, the vice-champions Halkbank swept the fourth-placed team last season Arkas Spor. The Ankara powerhouse dominated the big match and now will set off the next round as the leader even though the majority of fifth-round duels are yet to take place this weekend.
The Dutch bomber Nimir Abdel-Aziz, was once again Halkbank’s most prolific player with 17 points including 4 aces, while Doğukan Ulu made 4 blocks and Volkan Döne had 70% reception (10 digs, 30 perfect). About the losing side, Efe Mandıracı scored 11 points.
