France: Narbonne defeat Paris on the road to close Round 9 with 3 points

Round 9 of 2022/23 Ligue A ended today with a great win of Narbonne on the field a very combative Paris.
The match ended in four sets, partially 23:25, 22:25, 25:17 and 25:27.
After taking first two sets, the hosts managed to reopen the game winning the third, which they controlled from start to finish and in which basically Narbonne started to play only at the end. It was a great battle in decisive fourth set, with Paris who wasted a chance to reach the tie break, as they had a 24:22 led.
Willner Rivas was the top scorer of the match, scoring 23 points on the winning side through 53% in attack, including one ace and 2 of his team’s 13 winning blocks (5 with the signature of Nikolay Kolev, who also contributed with 11 points).
Joachim Panou was the most prolific player among the hosts with 14 points, while Mathaus Jurkovics made 7 blocks.
With this win, and this well deserved 3 points, Narbonne now share sixth place in the standings with titleholders Montpellier, as both sides have 15 points.
