Turkey: all results of Round 15 – Türsad slip to sixth place

Rouns 15 of 2022/23 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi Metin Görgün Sezonu were played today, without major upsets or relevant changes in the standings.

Three points as predicted for leaders Halkbank, who struggled more than expected to down Türşad by 3-1 (25:21, 25:18, 23:25, 32:30), and the rivals thus slip from fourth
to sixth place in the current charts. Türşad provided a surprising resistance but failed to break the winning streak of the vice-champions. The Ankara side had to earn the win through a 42-minute fourth set and score the ninth consecutive victory in all competitions, the fifth consecutive victory in the national league.
The Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz put down 34 points (66% attack) on the winning side, while Iranian Bardia Saadat and Pole Mateusz Mika scored 17 points each for Türşad, and Hakan Polat made four blocks.

Three points also for vice-leaders Ziraat Bankkart Ankara, who down Develi Bld. with the same result (25:15, 26:24, 23:25, 25:18), and for third-placed Arkas who down last-placed Tokat BLD Plevne 0-3 (22:25, 25:27, 19:25) on the road.
Fourth place now for Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta, who today down Bursa Büyüksehir Belediye Spor by 3-1 (25:20, 25:23, 18:25, 25:23).
Three points also for Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, who won in four sets
on the field of Hekimoglu Global Connect Travel BVI (21:25, 19:25, 26:24, 24:26), Spor Toto, 0-3 (18:25, 17:25, 18:15) on the field of Hatay B. Sehir Bld, and Cizre, who won on the field of Altekma with the same result (20:25, 19:25, 17:25).
