Poland: a half comeback of Bielsko-Biała against Aluron open Round 23

Round 23 of 2022/23 Plusliga started today with a (half) upset.

After winning first two sets without any problems on the field of last-placed BBTS Bielsko-Biała, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie suffered a comeback but, eventually, managed to win the game at tie break (19:25, 10:25, 25:22, 25:23, 10:15).
Among the winners, who remain at third place in the standings regardless of the other results, as they are at +4 from ZAKSA, Bartek Kwolek reported a minor muscle problem at the end of the second set, but suffered also the heavy absence of Uroš Kovačević, on the bench.

Dawid Konarski ended the game as top scorer on the winning side with 17 points through 44% in attack, while setter Miguel Tavares also contributed with 5 of 13 his team aces. The only player in double digit for Bielsko-Biała was Jake Harnes, author of as many as 31 points! However, he wasn’t enough to win the game, and his team remain to relegation zone, at -4 from Czarni Radom (who will face Barkom on Sunday).
