Poland: Barkom and Resovia (who back to the top!) close Round 27 with 3 points

Round 27 of 2022/23 Plusliga has been completed today with last two games, in which two sides earned three points after straight sets win in their respective home courts.

To start the day in a victorious way is Barkom Każany Lwów, who celebrated a clear win over an again disappointing LUK Lublin who, after an exploit in the end of 2022 with a collection of great victories (including the successes against Jastrzębski and ZAKSA), suffered today their fifth defeat in a row. Partially it was 25:22, 25:21 and 25:20. Vasyl Tupchii ended the game as top scorer with 17 points through 50% in attack, including 2 blocks and 1 ace, while Jonas Kvalen also contributed with 11 including 3 of their team’s 11 winning blocks (against the only 3 of the losing side).
A victory that is worth for the Ukrainian side also the 13th place in the standings after surpassing Cuprum Lubin to stay now at +2.

In the evening Asseco Resovia Rzeszów regain the leadership in Plusliga after a hard-fought first set against last placed BBTS Bielsko-Biała, even if, luckily for home fans, the game has been solved in straight sets (27:25, 25:17, 25:19).
Looking at the standings Aluron (unable to interrupt the winning streak of Warszawa on Saturday), who was to the top just a week ago, slipped to third place, -1 from Jastrzębski (who defeated Cuprum Lubin, also on Saturday) and now -2 from Resovia.
MVP and top scorer of the day was Jakub Bucki, author of 19 points through 68% in attack, including 2 winning blocks and 2 aces.
