Round 26 of 2022/23 Ligue A, the last one, has been played entirely today, with all 7 games played at 8pm. And finally we know all verdicts!

Tours, who already won mathematically the regular season, close the competition with a clear 3-0 (25:21, 25:19, 25:20) home win over a bad Nice, in a preview of the highly anticipated Final of Coupe de France, scheduled in Paris next Sunday, April 2.
In basically an irrilevant game for the standings, at least for the leaders, Tours control the game from start to finish, with a clear domination in all elements.

They are followed by Nantes, who today almost wasted a 2-0 lead on the field of Tourcoing, where they easily won the first two sets. However, the hosts react, and managed to level the score, but in the decisive five set Nantes dominated in just 14 minutes of play!
Partially in was 19:25, 22:25, 25:20, 25:15 and 4:15.
Renan Buiatti was the top scorer of the game scoring 24 points (1 block, 2 aces and 58% in attack) for the losing side, who ended the regular season at 5th place, only at -1 from Narbonne. Neves Atu Chizoba, today, scored 22 points for the winners with 58% in attack.

Tie break also between already known No.8 Montpellier and already know No.3 Chaumont, in what was an irrilevant game for the standings. However, it was a great battle in which the visiting side won after 2 hours and 11 minutes of play (25:20, 37:25, 23:25, 18:25, 11:15).

Fourth place, and thus field advantage in the upcoming playoffs for Narbonne, despite a defeat (yes, another game ended at tie break) on the field of Saint-Nazaire in what was probably the most unteresting game of the day – 3-2 (23:25, 25:21, 23:25, 26:24, 15:11). A very important win before the most important part of the season for the newcomers, after a streak of defeats in last part if the competition. Decisive the 15 winning blocks (against the 10 of Narbonne), 24 points by Kyle Ensing and 19 from Helder Spencer who, with 5 winning blocks and 82% in attack back to a very high level.
Behind Narbonne (4) and Tourcoing (5), Saint Nazaire ended the regular season at sixth place.

Seventh place to another team defeated today…at tie break! Sète, who suffered a hard fought defeat in five sets on the field Poitiers (21:25, 25:18, 25:20, 20:25, 17:15), lead by an almost unstoppable Gabriel Candido (28 points, 60% in attack, 2 aces and 1 block), but also an almost perfect Sergio Noda Blanco, who also contributed with 16 points, a solid performance in reception and 80% in attack.

But, with titleholders Montpellier at eight place, nothing to do for No.9 Paris (who won as predicted against last-placed Cambrai, relegated with only 9 points in the standings, Poitiers, who ended the season at 10th place, 11th Toulouse (defeated today in four sets at home by No.12 Plessis Robinson who, with this result, surpassed Nice in the final standings). The finalists on Coupe de France ended the regular season at 13th place, and behind them only relegated Cambrai.

Soon full program of Playoffs.
Stay Tuned!
