Italy: Verona open Main Round of Playoffs 5th Place with a straight sets win over Padova

After a 2-0 lead in Quarterfinal best-of-five and the final elimination from Cucine Lube Civitanova in Game 5 after an exciting series, WithU Verona start in a perfect way the main stage of Play Offs for 5th place and a consequent ticket for next edition of Challenge Cup, by beating Pallavolo Padova in just three sets (25:17, 25:11, 25:23) without major problems.
After two sets dominated, Padova reacted only in third set.
As usual, Verona was led by Sapozhkov and Keita, who shared the title of top scorers with 15 points each, and Mozic who also contributed with 12, while no player on the losing side ended the game in double digit.
To make the difference also the performance in blocking (10 to 3) and in attack (58% to 37%).

Tomorrow Valsa Group Modena, eliminated in Game 5 too by Piacenza, will face Vero Volley Monza in another game valid for this Round 1 while Perugia has a dayoff and will start on Wednesday on the field of Monza.
