The TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg players rewarded themselves on Thursday evening after an excellent Powerfusion AVL Men season and secured the bronze medal in the competition after defeating UVC McDonaldâs Ried in just 68 minutes of play with a clear 3-0 (25:23, 25:12, 25:19) in the front of their home fans. Hartberg won the first duel of the Game 1 of âBest-of-3â series away in five sets.
The top scorers of the day were Dorde Knezevic (18), Lukas Glatz (16) and Richard Hensel (7) for the winners, and Tomasz Rutecki (12), Markus Berger and Amaury Auffray (8 each) for Ried.
Today VBK WÜrther-See-LÜwen Klagenfurt won the last home game in the relegation round against last-placed VC Hausmannstätten 3-0 (25:18, 25:14, 25:15) and took the lead in the standings, at least until Saturday when the other games will be played.
