On the eve of semifinals, that will started tomorrow and in which Tours will face Tourcoing, and Nantes will play against Chaumont in the race for the title, 2022/23 Ligue A is not over, as the other teams, including Paris and Poitiers, No.9 and No.10 in regular season, started today the tournament for 5th place that will assign a ticket for next edition of 2022/23 CEV Challenge Cup.

And the Game that opened Round 1, entirely played today, was between the two teams excluded from Playoffs, Paris and Poitiers, and the hosts celebrated a clear 3-0 (25:22, 25:14, 25:19) home win,
in a match in which they are better in all elements, above all in blocking (9 to 5), and from the service line with 8 aces to 1.
Straight sets win also for Saint Nazaire, who easily defeated Montpellier (25:22, 25:21, 25:14) with 12 points by Kyle Ensing, the only player in double digit of the match, while the backups of Narbonne, who played without several player in the regular starting six (Danilo Gelinski, Luca Vettori, Willner Rivas and Nikolay Kolev, and the others fielded only in some parte of the game), managed to defeat Sète at tie break (16:25, 25:21, 23:25, 25:21, 15:11) with an amazing performance of Julien Faganas, who ended the game with 31 points to his name through 66% in attack including 1 ace and 1 block.
