Turkey: Fenerbahçe and Bursa win Games 1 for 3rd and 5th place

Two games of 2022/23 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi Metin Görgün Sezonu were played today, Game 1 of final for 3rd place, and Game 1 of final for 5/6th place.

In the first one, Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta defeat Arkas Spor by 3-1 (27:25, 25:20, 18:25, 25:20) on their home soil in what was a very balanced game and in which Arkas, despite the defeat, played a great game in blocking (12 to 7).
Yacine Louati was the top scorer on the winning side with 13 points (2 aces, 1 block and 45 in attack), followed by Nikola Meljanac woth 11(1 block and 48% in attack).
Enes Atli scored 21 points for Arkas (without Nicholas Hoag, on the bench) who will play Game 2 at home on Sunday.

In final for 5th place, a very good Bursa Büyüksehir Belediye Spor defeat a big name of Turkish volley all Galatasaray HDI Sigorta in four sets too (25:20, 21:25, 25:23, 27:25), despite the 32 points of an almost unstoppable Thomas Edgar (2 aces, 1 block and 58% in attack)!
Metin Toy, the most prolific player among the winners, stops at 17 (3 aces, 1 block and only 35% in attack, 13/37 without errors but blocked 6 time), but well supported by Dmitrii Bahov who ended the game with 15 points, 1 block and 61% in attack. Game 2, on the field of Galatasaray, on May 8.
