Russia: Alexander Volkov announces his retirement

The final of the Russian Superliga played on Sunday, and in which his Zenit Kazan won their eleventh national title, was the last match in the career of Alexander Volkov, 38-year-old middle blocker and collector of lot of victories.
In fact, in his curriculum, 6 Russian championships and above all many medals with his national team, for which he boasts 172 caps.
The most important is the gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games, together with the bronze at Beijing 2008, and the 2011 World Cup.

In the near future, he could become a coach in one of the clubs of Russian Superliga.
