Turkey: Slobodan Kovac new Head Coach of Halkbank Ankara

Turkish volleyball powerhouse, Halkbank Ankara confirmed Slobodan Kovac as their new head coach.
This marks his return to the team after his previous appearances during the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons.
Serbian expert initially joined Halkbank Ankara in January 2017, taking over from Italian coach Camillo Placì, and he made an immediate impact, leading the team to the Turkish championship in both seasons. Notably, the 2017/2018 season saw Kovac spearhead the team’s victory in the Turkish Cup 2018, adding another success to his cap.
A signing ceremony was held at Halkbank Sports Club, where Kovac penned the contract in the presence of Ergin Kaya, the Deputy General Manager and Vice President of the Club.
