European Golden League: waiting for tomorrow game, all results of Round 4

Waiting for the Pool B match between Croatia and Ukraine, scheduled tomorrow, Round 4 of 2023 European Golden League has been played today.

In Pool A, last-placed Romania played a great game over leader Türkiye, but eventually collapsed in last two sets and surrendered at tie break (18:25, 25:23, 27:25, 19:25, 6:15). The most prolific player had Romania’s jersey, Alexandru Rata, who scored 22 points while Adis Lagumdzija and Efe Bayram scored 29 and 19 points respectively on the winning side.
On the same Pool, Straight sets win for second-placed Portugal over Denmark 3-0 (26:24, 25:22, 25:14), with 13 winning blocks (to 0!), 14 points from Alexandre Ferreira (3 blocks, 2 aces and 53% in attack) and 11 from an excellent Filip Cveticanin. The middle blocker, in fact, had 75% in attack (6/8 and 1 error) and 4 winning blocks!
On the losing side, Mads Kyed Jensen ended the game as top scorer with 21 points.
3-0 win also for Belgium in Pool B over North Macedonia, with two excellent players: Mathijs Desmet, top scorer of the game, scored 21
points including 1 ace, 1 block and 72% in attack, while Jolan Cox also contributed with 20 (2 blocks, 2 aces and 62% in attack). Partially it was 27:25, 25:23 and 26:24.
Double straight sets win also in Pool C.
Slovakia defeat Finland 3-0 (25:23, 25:16, 25:22), while Estonia down Czech Republic with the same result (25:15, 26:24, 25:21) but, luckily for the losing side, they remain to the top of the standings.
