South American Volleyball Championship – Argentina changes history : champions after 59 years!

At the Geraldão Coliseum in Recife, Argentina National Team wrote a big page in its history after defeating Brazil in 35th South American Men’s Volleyball Championship final.
The game ended in just three sets, (25:19, 29:27, 25:22), a triumph that was missing for almost 60 years.
In fact, the last title won by Argentina was in 1964, when they played the tournament at home!
Since them, Brazil won the subsequent 28 consecutive titles.
Outside hitter Luciano Vicentin was named MVP, but also Luciano De Cecco and Nicolás Zerba were part of the dream team.
