Eurovolley2023: 3 points for The Netherlands and North Macedonia in Pool C. First win for Türkiye and 3rd win for France in Pool D

In Pool C of CEV Eurovolley 2023 The Netherlands down Czech Republic 3-0 (25:22, 25:22, 25:22) with 19 points by top scorer Nimir Abdel-Aziz while, in the evening, hosts North Macedonia easily won against Montenegro with the same result (25:22, 25:18, 25:20) to fly to the second place of the standings with the same number of points of Poland and The Netherlands, with as many as 16 winning blocks (!!!), 7 only by Filip Savovski, and 20 points by bomber Nikola Gjorgiev.
For them, this was a historical qualification to the next stage of the competition.
In Pool D, Türkiye celebrated their first win in the competition by beating Greece 3-1 (22:25, 26:24, 25:19, 25:23) in a derby between two italian experts (Alberto Giuliani on one side, and Dante Boninfante on the other), while France down Pool hosts Israel in a direct clash for the top of the standings – 0-3 (21:25, 27:29, 17:25).
It was a balanced clash: 36 winning spikes and 6 blocks each. France slightly better from the service line (8 to 6 aces). Daryl Bultor shone with an excellent 88% in attack (9 points), while Timothée Carle was once again top scorer of the game with 14 points through 61% in attack.
France, together with Italy in Pool A, and Slovenia in Pool B, is already qualified to the next stage of the competition with 9 points and 3 wins in as many games.
