In direct clash to progress to eighth finals in Pool C, Montenegro continue to hope after beating Denmark by 1-3 (25:18, 29:31, 22:25, 23:25) in 124 minutes of play.
With Vojin Ćaćic on the bench, the most prolific players were Djordje Jovovic and Marko Bojic, who scored 20 and 19 points respectively.
Qualification cemented for Poland who, as predicted, easily defeated pool hosts North Macedonia 3-0 (25:12, 25:21, 25:14) after just 72 minutes of play.
Turnover for head coach Nikola Grbic, who fielded Bartosz Bednorz and Tomasz Fornal, both decisive for this victory. The first ended the game as top scorer with 17 points and 71% in attack, and 16 also for the second through 87% in attack (13/15 without errors or blocked).
In Pool D Portugal (0-3 against Pool hosts Israel, 22:25, 21:25 and 12:25) and Romania (1-3, partially 16:25, 18:25, 25:23 and 20:25 over Greece) take a step towards eighth finals, but nothing’s been decided yet.
