France: Tours open the new season with SuperCup! Chaumont defeated in four sets!

In an exciting showdown at the 2023 men’s France Super Cup, Ligue A last season winners Tours showcased their indomitable power.
Having clinched both the French Cup and the French Championship in the previous season, they faced off today against Chaumont, the great Championship finalists.
Both sides fought hard in first set, and Tours surrendered only at 27-29.
However, they made an impressive comeback, taking the next three sets (25-19, 25-21, 25-23).
This not only marked their victory against Chaumont by 3-1 but also earned them their prestigious fifth Super Cup in club’s history!
Aboubacar Drame Neto ended the game as top scorer with 23 points to his name, boasting a 57% attack rate together with 3 aces and 3 blocks, well supported by Anthoine Pothron who also contributed with 15 points and Mart Tammearu with 14.
On the other side of the net, Filip Sestan scored 13 points through a 59% attack rate, and Partick Indra added 12.
