Poland: newcomers Częstochowa stun ZAKSA with a 3-1 away victory!

The PlusLiga newcomers Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa secured a surprising victory over super favorites Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle with a 1-3 (26:24, 22:25, 23:25, 21:25) win in the match of the Round 4.
ZAKSA, last season’s Polish runners-up and CEV Champions League winners played without some key players like Aleksander Śliwka and Łukasz Kaczmarek, and Daniel Chitigoi sustained an injury mid-match, further challenging the team’s resilience.
Young opposite of Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa Mateusz Borkowski was awarded MVP and ended the match as top scorer with 22 points to his name (61% in attack, 1 block and 1 ace).
The scoreboard for ZAKSA featured contributions from Bartosz Bednorz with 21 points, followed by Andreas Takvam securing 12, and Daniel Chotigoi with 16 before his unfortunate exit due to injury.
On the winning side, for Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa along Mateusz Borkowski, Rafał Sobański also contributed with 18 points.
Round 4 will ended on Wednesday with the big match between Jastrzębski Węgiel and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.
