Poland: ZAKSA and Częstochowa open Round 13 with 3 points

Round 13 of 2023/24 Plusliga started today with first two games.
Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle ended their losing streak by securing a convincing 3-0 win against Ślepsk Malow Suwałki.
The very important victory came after a series of disappointing performances, including three successive league defeats and a Champions League loss to Ziraat Bank Ankara.
The match scores reflected the intense competition, with ZAKSA overcoming their rivals 25:23, 32:30 and 25:22.
Decisive Łukasz Kaczmarek, who, with a remarkable 70% attack efficiency and 25 points to his name earned a well-deserved MVP title.
This win propelled ZAKSA to eighth place in the competition, now standing with 21 points from seven wins and six losses.
In the evening, newcomers Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa upset the favorites Bogdanka LUK Lublin with a 3-1 victory. Częstochowa showed an exceptional performance, winning with the scores of 25:23, 25:27, 20:25 and 18:25.
Damian Kogut from Częstochowa was the man of the match contributing with 16 points and securing the MVP award. The victory elevated Częstochowa to 10th in the standings, while today’s rivals keep their fifth position with the same number of points, 22, of Trefl Gdańsk, who tomorrow will face Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, and PSG Stal Nysa, whi will play on the field of Projekt Warszawa on Friday, December 29.
