Challenge Cup: Akaa Volley take first step towards semifinals. Teruel destroyed in straight sets!

First leg of 2023/24 CEV Challenge Cup quarterfinals is over today with the fourth straight sets away win in as many games played!
After Italy’s Mint Vero Volley Monza, Turkey’s Galatasaray HDI Istanbul and Poland’s Projekt Warszawa, also Finland’s Akaa Volley take first step towards semfinals after a clear 0-3 (18:25, 18:25, 21:25) win in Spain, on the field of Pamesa Teruel.
Better in all elements the winners, able to close the game after only 70 minutes of play, were led in score by Matej Smidl, top scorer with 15 points through 57% in attack with 1 block and 1 ace, and Jere Heiskanen, who added 11.
