Poland: Bełchatów open Round 17 with a win (and 3 points)

In the opener of the 17th round of the 2023/24 PlusLiga or, if you prefer, Round 2 of second leg, PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów emerged victorious on the field of KGHM Cuprum Lubin with a score of 1-3 (25:20, 22:25, 19:25, 18:25).
The game began with promise for the hosts as they secured the first set, but the rivals showcased resilience and skill, taking the next three sets without major problems.
The top scorers for Lubin were Alexander Berger with 18 points to his name through 70% in attack including 2 winning blocks, Jake Hanes with 17 points, and Wojciech Ferens with 13 points.
Among the winners, Dawid Konarski and Bartłomiej Lemański each scored 16 points, followed by Bartłomiej Lipiński with 11 and Adrian Aciobanitei with 10 points.
