Coupe De France: these are all quarterfinalists! Cambrai eliminates Sète, Chaumont out

2023/24 Coupe de France Round of 16 were played today and not without upsets.
The news of the day is the win of Ligue B side Cambrai over Sète, 3-1 (25:21, 25:16, 24:26, 25:20).
Cambrai thus eliminated the Ligue A team thanks to 12 aces, 20 points from top scorer Paul Villard (5 aces, 2 blocks and 50% in attack), and 19 from MVP Tinaël Pepin. Still without starting opposite Celestin Cardin, Cheikh Diop scored 27 points for the losing side (48% in attack with 2 winning blocks and 3 aces).
Cambrai is now at fourth place in Ligue B.
Another upset came from Poitiers, when the hosts eliminated Ligue A leaders Chaumont after a thrilling 3-2 (22:25, 25:20, 25:21, 25:27, 15:9) victory, with a great performance in attack: Alexandros Raptis ended the game with 23 points to his name through 57% in attack, including 3 aces and 3 winning blocks, followed by Metin Toy, who added 22, all in attack, through 65%, while MVP Javier Conception added 16 including 1 ace, 4 blocks and 79%! Patrick Indra was the most prolific player for Chaumont, putting down 21 points.
Another game ended at tie break was the one between Saint Nazaire and Toulouse, won by the latter after 2 hours and 27 minutes of play, despite 16 winning blocks of the hosts (8 only from Nicolas Burel). MVP of the game Alexandre Bouchez, who scored 20 points including 2 aces, 2 blocks and 59% in attack, well supported by top scorer Nathan Feral, who added 25.
No upsets in the other games, as titleholders Tours, struggling more than expected, managed to win on the field of Ligue B side Saint Quentin, 1-3 (27:25, 21:25, 21:25, 22:25), with 24 points from MVP Aboubacar Drame Neto, who boasted 1 ace, 1 block and an impressive 79% in attack!
Not a good time for last season’s other finalist Nice who, second-to-last in Ligue A, succumbed on the field of Montpellier after just 1 hours and 10 minutes of play, 3-0 (25:15, 25:22, 25:15). Struggling a lot in attack and not only, Simon Hirsh was the only player in double digit with 11 points (only 41% in attack) for the losing side, while Luka Marttila was named MVP of the game with 17 points to his name through 71% in attack, 1 block and 4 aces.
Straight sets win also for Paris, who down newcomers and last-placed in Ligue A Saint Jean D’Illac on the road, 0-3 (20:25, 17:25, 22:25), with 16 points from top scorer Kento Miyaura, all in attack, through 70%!
Away win also for Tourcoing, 1-3 (20:25, 25:19, 22:25, 23:25) on the field of Narbonne, with 22 points from top scorer and MVP Pablo Koukartsev (50% in attack with 2 aces and 1 block), while Nantes defeated at home Plessis Robinson with the same result, 3-1 (25:21, 23:25, 25:21, 25:21), with 18 points from Chizoba Neves Atu, 17 from Tomas Lopez Pascual (both with 52% in attack), 15 from François Huetz (including 3 aces, 4 winning blocks and 80% in attack), and 9 from MVP Hugo De Leon.
