Italy: Alberto Giuliani new Head Coach of Modena

Valsa Group Modena officially announced Alberto Giuliani as their new head coach at a press conference held today at the PalaPanini press room.
Alongside Giuliani, President Giulia Gabana and Sports Director Alberto Casadei shared insights into the coaching transition and future plans.

Alberto Giuliani boasts an impressive coaching career, including three Italian championships, a Greek championship, several national and international cups, and also a silver medal at the European Championship with the Slovenian national team.

Modena Volley’s President addressed the recent challenges faced by the team, acknowledging the difficult decision to part ways with former coach, Francesco Petrella.
She emphasized her belief in the team’s potential and expressed confidence in new head coach’s ability to revitalize the squad.

Alberto Casadei elaborated on the swift decision to hire Giuliani, highlighting the club’s commitment to a blend of youthful talent and experienced leadership, and he also stressed the importance of rediscovering the team’s identity and style.

Giuliani, taking the reins in a challenging situation, expressed his enthusiasm for the role and his immediate connection with the management, emphasizing the importance of addressing both the technical and mental aspects of the game, particularly ahead of their upcoming match against powerhouse Civitanova, on the upcoming Sunday.
