Challenge Cup: Projekt Warszawa destroy Akaa Volley in first semifinal

Predictions respected in first leg of first 2023/24 CEV Challenge Cup semifinal played today at Viialan Liikuntahalli in Akaa, Finland, as the visiting side from Poland Projekt Warszawa, currently at second place in Plusliga, literally destroy the hosts Akaa Volley in just 66 minutes of play.
In a game ended with the score of 0-3 (18:25, 20:25, 14:25), the winners had a remarkable performance in attack, with 75% of team performance, and were led in score by Bartlomiej Boladz, who scored 17 points through 78% in attack and 3 aces. Arthur Szalpuk also contributed with 12 (with 1 ace, 1 block and 71% in attack), while top scorer of the match was a player with the jersey of Akaa, Matej Smidl, who close the game with 20 points through 50% in attack and 4 aces.
Second leg is scheduled in Poland next Wednesday, February 7, while tomorrow Italy’s Mint Vero Volley Monza will face Turkey’s Galatasaray HDI Istanbul at their Arena di Monza in second semifinal.
