Coupe de France: Nantes, Montpellier and Poitiers first semifinalists.

2 min read

Waiting for the last game scheduled tomorrow between defending champions Tours and Paris, 2023/24 Coupe de France Quarterfinals were played today without major upsets, with the only exception of the match between Poitiers, currently at 10th place in Marmara Spike League regular season, and Tourcoing, won by the hosts with the score of 3-1 (23:25, 25:23, 25:22, 25:21).
For the No.2 Tourcoing, 25 points from Pablo Koukartsev (55% in attack and 2 blocks) and 12 winning blocks (compared to the winners’ 8) were not enough. Top scorer of the match, and for Poitiers, an excellent Metin Toy, who made the difference with 27 points to his name through 55% in attack and 4 aces.
All easy, more or less, for Nantes against Ligue B side Cambrai, who surprisingly eliminated Sète in Round of 16, winning the game with the score of 0-3 (17:25, 23:25, 21:25), and straight sets win also for Montpellier over Toulouse, 3-0 (25:18, 25:22, 25:21), with 13 points each from Luka Marttila and Dimitar Dimitrov and 10 from Danny Demianenko.
