Turkish Cup: Halkbank, Arkas, Fenerbahçe and Akkuş to semifinals

Quarterfinals of 2023-2024 AXA Sigorta Erkekler Kupa Voley, Turkish Cup, were played today.
No problem for Efelerligi’s leaders Halkbank, who easily defeated Brand Group Alanya Bld. with a clear 3-0 (25:20, 25:14, 25:21), with 66% team performance in attack and 17 points by top scorer Nimir Abdel Aziz (including 3 aces, 2 winning blocks and 67% in attack).
Straight sets win also for Ziraat Bankkart, who down Spor Toto struggling only in second set, partially 25:19, 26:24 and 25:16.
With 10 winning blocks and 64% of team performance in attack, 3 players reached a double digit making difference: Matthew Anderson and Oreol Camejo, with 14 points each (1 ace, 4 winning blocks and 53% in attack for the U.S. National Team member, 2 aces, 2 blocks and an impressive 83% in attack for the Cuban), and Wouter Ter Maat, who added 12 with 2 aces and 71% in attack.
Arkas Spor won the big match of the day by beating Galatasaray HDI Sigorta by 3-1 (24:26, 29:27, 25:20, 25:17) with 24 points each by Efe Mandiraci (2 aces, 2 blocks and 62% in attack), and Georg Grozer (2 aces, 1 block and 66% in attack). Jan Hadrava scored 23 points on the other side of the net including 2 blocks and 62% in attack, but he wasn’t enough.
Four sets win also for the other big favorite of the day Fenerbahçe Parolapara, who beat Kuşgöz İzmir Vinç Akkuş Bld. (23:25, 31:29, 25:21, 28:26), mostly thanks to Dick Kooy’s 28 points (60% in attack, with 1 ace and 1 winning block), big protagonist of a match lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes.
