Round 21 of 2023/24 Axa Sigorta Efeler Ligi Metin Görgün Sezonu started today with first games and without major upsets or changes in the standings.
All easy for leaders Halkbank, who literally destroyed Bigadiç Bld., 3-0 (25:12, 25:16, 25:16), in just 1 hour and 3 minutes of play and without the help of Nimir Abdel Aziz and Earvin Ngapeth, both on the bench. Almost perfect Mirza Lagumdzija, top scorer of the match with 13 points through 71% in attack and 3 winning blocks.
3 points also for Fenerbahçe Parolapara, who won the big match against Arkas Spor by 3-1 (25:21, 25:19, 18:25, 25:23) thanks also to 15 winning blocks, and for Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, who won with the same result on the field of Türşad, 1-3 (16:25, 25:23, 22:25, 20:25), despite the hosts’ 16 winning blocks (11 for Galatasaray) and 22 points by Nazar Hetman (52% in attack and 5 winning blocks). However, the man of the match was Jan Hadrava, author of 29 points for the winners in just 4 sets, with 1 ace and 67% in attack.
3 points also for Develi Bld., who down Brand Group Alanya Bld. in four sets too, partially 25:23, 29:31, 25:17 and 25:19, while Kuşgöz İzmir Vinç Akkuş Bld., at 12th place in the standings, stun the most quoted Bursa BBSK, at No.6, winning their away game with the score of 2-3 (27:25, 23:25, 24:26, 25:18, 10:15), with 23 points by top scorer Svetoslav Ivanov (including 1 ace and 67% in attack), and 22 by Enes Atli (including 2 winning blocks, 2 aces and 67% in attack).
