Italy: Ferre Reggers will remain in Milano until 2027!

3 min read

Superlega Club Allianz Milano has officially announced the renewal of Ferre Reggers until 2027.
The Belgian opposite, not yet 21 years old, will therefore remain in Milano for the next 3 seasons.
The player has been one of the positive surprises of the entire 2023/2024 Credem Banca SuperLega so far.
Arrived in Milan as a rookie last summer, he immediately established himself among the best opposites in the competition.
In fact, he has already exceeded 200 points in attack and won the MVP award in two matches, both at home, against Civitanova and Taranto, respectively).
At an international level, before imposing himself on the general public with excellent performances in the 2023 European Championship with his Belgian national team, in the 2021 U21 World Cup in Cagliari, he had been included in the ideal sextet.

The latest bet made by Allianz Milano thanks to our sporting director Fabio Lini and our coach Roberto Piazza, was that of a young Belgian opposite, Ferre Reggers, to be paired in his role with a player like Petar Dirlic, the top scorer of the last championship. We signed him before the European Championships last summer, when the whole world noticed him.
Today we are announcing the renewal of the contract with this player.
We want him to stay in Milano together with coach Roberto Piazza, to complete his journey as a player and as a man. The Porro – Reggers diagonal will be the main diagonal of Allianz Milano also for the future within a team that we are building these days. A team that will amaze once again with its freshness and competitive spirit with some young international-level additions.
For some great players in recent years Allianz Milano has been, and will be in the future, a stage of passage towards other teams. At the end of the championship we will say goodbye to them, always with gratitude. For others Allianz Milano is a point of arrival, but for everyone it is, and will be, a happy island, a training ground for technical, moral and human growth and in this direction we have also imagined the Milano of the future,
” said Lucio Fusaro, president of Allianz Milano.

Ferre Reggers after the agreement reached: “For me it is a moment of great happiness because this signing means that I will stay in Milano until 2027 and I am convinced that before then I will also learn to speak Italian better.
I am studying it!
Joking aside, I would first of all like to thank the president Lucio Fusaro and the sporting director Fabio Lini for their trust, without obviously forgetting our coach, Roberto Piazza, a professional who has incredible energy and a unique vision of volleyball, which I had already been able to appreciate it a few years ago. I’m really excited for the future, even if now the concentration is entirely on closing the season, with many important commitments still to be faced, starting with Sunday’s match against Perugia.
