Bulgaria: Alex Nikolov will undergo surgery and misses VNL 2024

In a very recent announcement, Cucine Lube Civitanova confirmed that their outside hitter and Bulgarian national team member Aleksandar Nikolov, who had already sat out the last two matches of the Credem Banca 5th Place Play Offs, will miss the upcoming Volleyball Nations League 2024.
He will undergo surgery on May 16th at the Borgo Trento Hospital in Verona, conducted by Professor Massimo Balsano, and he is expected to take a minimum of 60 days off for recovery.
The decision for surgery was made after extensive consultations involving team officials and medical experts.
