The countdown to the 2027 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Cup has taken another step forward with the unveiling of the tournament’s official logo.
Inspired by the iconic trophy that the world’s best national teams will be competing for, the new design will become the visual identity of the event, from the upcoming draw to the medal matches in Kraków.

The logo brings together several elements that define the sport. Its overall silhouette recalls the World Cup trophy, while a central circle represents the world and the international nature of the competition. A sweeping curve evokes the volleyball net, and the reaching hands and rising ball capture the decisive moments of a rally, from the spike to the block. The design also incorporates a wave at its base, symbolising the fans whose passion gives volleyball its distinctive atmosphere.

“The logo for the 2027 Men’s Volleyball World Cup in Poland encompasses all the key elements of volleyball,” explained Maciej Bogusz, Marketing Director of the World Cup Local Organising Committee. He highlighted how the design represents not only the players, ball and net, but also the supporters, while its overall shape pays tribute to the trophy first unveiled in Poland in 2014.

The next major milestone will come on December 3, 2026, when the 32 participating nations discover their opponents and the cities in which they will begin their World Cup campaigns. The Drawing of Lots will be held in an extraordinary setting: the historic Wieliczka Salt Mine, 125 metres underground, in the Małopolska region.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on Polsat channels in Poland and on the Volleyball World YouTube channel for international audiences. The starting time has yet to be announced.
The field features hosts Poland and defending champions Italy, alongside 30 other national teams representing all five continental confederations. Europe will have the largest contingent, with 16 teams, including France, Finland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Germany, Ukraine, Belgium, Türkiye and Serbia. Estonia will make its World Cup debut.
The remaining places are shared among the other continents: the United States, Canada, Cuba, Mexico and Puerto Rico will represent NORCECA; Tunisia, Cameroon, Algeria and Egypt will fly the African flag; Brazil, Argentina and Chile will represent South America; while Japan, Iran and Korea complete the Asian and Oceanian line-up.

The tournament will be spread across four Polish cities during the pool phase. Gdańsk, at ERGO ARENA, Katowice, at Spodek, Łódź, at Atlas Arena, and Olsztyn, at Urania Hall, will host the opening stage. The competition will then move to Kraków, where TAURON Arena will stage the semi-finals and medal matches, bringing the 2027 World Cup to its conclusion in the Małopolska region.

With the logo now revealed and the draw just over a month away, the road to the 2027 Men’s World Cup is beginning to take shape. On December 3, deep beneath the Polish landscape, the first pieces of the tournament puzzle will finally fall into place.
