No more unbeaten teams remain in VNL 2024!

In 2024 Volleyball Nations League, no team remains unbeaten after Saturday’s Pool 3 games in Fukuoka, as hosts Japan and Brazil inflicted Poland and Slovenia their first defeats, respectively.
Both celebratd four sets victories, with the first one closing their game with the score of 3-1 (25:23, 19:25, 26:24, 25:21), and the same did Brazil, with a 1-3 (21:25, 17:25, 25:21, 23:25) win over European Champions Poland, with Yoandy Leal scoring 22 points. Brazil now stands fifth, while Poland dropped to second place behind Italy.
On the same Pool, Türkiye achieved their historic first win in the VNL by defeating Iran, in four sets too, 3-1 (22:25, 25:23, 25:23, 27:25).
Japan thrilled their home crowd with a 3-1 victory over Slovenia, moving to third place in the standings, led by Yuji Nishida, author of 26 points, while Slovenia’s Toncek Stern scored 27. This match pushed Slovenia to fourth place and cost them FIVB World Ranking points.
In a historic victory, Türkiye defeated Iran led by Kaan Gurbuz, who scored an impressive 34 points, lifting his team to 15th place and leaving Iran winless at the bottom of the table.
In the opening match of the day for Pool 4 in Ottawa, Canada, Cuba triumphed over France at tie break, 3-2 (25:18, 20:25, 23:25, 25:22, 15:10), Canada down a disappointing USA by 3-1 (25:16, 19:25, 26:24, 28:26), and Argentina defeat Serbia with the score of 2-3 (26:28, 18:25, 25:18, 25:22, 13:15).
