VNL 2024: Pool stage is almost over! USA, Japan, Canada, Argentina, Poland and Slovenia ok

As the Volleyball Nations League Preliminary Phase nears its end, volleyball fans in The Philippines and Slovenia were treated to several thrilling games.
In Manila, Japan’s remarkable comeback from two sets down led by Yuki Ishikawa, resulted in an exciting 2-3 (25:17, 25:19, 16:25, 23:25, 10:15) victory over France. The Japanese superstar scored 33 points, pushing Japan to fifth place in the standings!
On the same Pool, USA kept their Finals hopes alive with a 1-3 (23:25, 25:21, 24:26, 23:25) win against Germany, thanks to Matthew Anderson’s 23 points, but they need a win against Japan on Sunday to qualify, while Canada triumphed over the Netherlands in a five-set thriller, 3-2 (21:25, 25:22, 28:26, 14:25, 15:9), despite Nimir Abdel-Aziz’s 37 points.
And Canada now looks forward to the Finals in Łódź, Poland.
In Ljubljana, Pool hosts Slovenia celebrated a great win over Italy in just three sets, 3-0 (25:19, 25:21, 25:19), and the same did Argentina over Bulgaria, 0-3 (22:25, 17:25, 20:25).
Finals hosts Poland needed five sets to beat Serbia, 2-3, partially 21:25, 25:21, 18:25, 25:22 and 11:15.
