Pools announced for Paris 2024 tournament

The first round of the Paris 2024 men’s volleyball tournament has been set, with pools drawn exactly one month before the Opening Ceremony.
Pool A: France, Slovenia, Canada, Serbia
Pool B: Poland, Italy, Brazil, Egypt
Pool C: Japan, USA, Argentina, Germany
In the pool phase, each team will play against all three of its pool rivals.
The top two teams from each pool, together with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals.
The tournament, hosted at the South Paris Arena from July 27 to August 10, will follow a single elimination format after the pool stage, featuring a total of 26 matches!

About Women, the 12 qualified teams were also divided into three pools:
Pool A: France, USA, China, Serbia
Pool B: Brazil, Poland, Japan, Kenya
Pool C: Italy, Türkiye, Netherlands, Dominican Republic
The tournament will feature a new format with three round-robin pools of four.
The top teams from each pool, the runners-up, and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals, leading to the semifinals and medal matches.
The matches will be held at the South Paris Arena from July 27 to August 11, where the 16th Olympic volleyball champions will be crowned.
