Japanese middle blocker Kentaro Takahashi suffers injury in a friendly match against Poland

In a Saturday friendly match between Poland and Japan, ended with the score of 2-3 (25:23, 20:25, 19:25, 25:23, 15:17) in favor of the latter, Japanese national team middle blocker Kentaro Takahashi suffered a serious-looking injury, and he was carried off the court on a stretcher and later transported to the hospital.
The incident occurred when he attempted to save a blocked ball, leading to a fall that left him momentarily unconscious.

Philippe Blain, the coach of the Japanese team, commented on the situation, explaining that the player briefly lost consciousness after hitting his head on the floor, and it was safer to send him to the hospital for further examination.

Luckily, on Sunday morning, Kentaro reassured volleyball fans with an Instagram post saying, “Thank you for your concern. Kentaro is fine.”
