Drama in French Volleyball: Nantes withdraws from Ligue A

In the middle of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and elite volleyball competitions, a significant development has appeared in French volleyball, as French Cup winners Nantes-Rezé club has been forced to withdraw from the top division due to financial difficulties.
As a result, the Ligue Nationale de Volley (LNV) announced that the upcoming season will feature only 13 teams instead of the usual 14, as Ajaccio’s application for a wild-card entry was also rejected.
